Karla M. Carbonell is an attorney whose practice focuses on commercial and real estate litigation. Born in Cuba and raised in Miami, Karla is a proud first-generation immigrant and first-generation attorney. She is committed to practicing law with integrity, resilience, and to providing clients with informed, practical counsel.

Karla earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where she cultivated a strong interest in both transactional and litigation matters. She received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Transactional Skills and gained broad legal experience through internships in both the private and public sectors.  Karla has experience in property insurance litigation and a wide range of municipal, regulatory, and legislative issues. While in law school, she also served as a clinical intern with the Investor Rights Clinic, assisting clients in matters involving securities law violations and arbitration.

Before law school, Karla graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University with a degree in Criminal Justice and a certificate in Legal Skills and Professional Values. She also worked for a real-estate lead generation company, an experience that sparked her interest in real estate law and continues to inform her understanding of the industry.

Karla is fluent in Spanish.
